With over 30 years of experience as a financial planning professional, John serves as a trusted sounding board for clients seeking guidance on their financial well-being. He developed the Retirement by Design planning process, which empowers clients to maximize their lifestyle both before and during retirement without the fear of outliving their money. John’s expertise lies in helping clients make strategic decisions related to wealth accumulation and retirement income distribution.
After earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) in Finance from Saint Louis University, John embarked on a corporate financial planning career with a major telecommunications firm. In 1992, he redirected his focus to personal financial planning, becoming a Certified Financial PlannerTM practitioner in 1998. Drawing from his analytical skills honed in the corporate finance world, John adeptly guides clients through their personalized retirement journey. His satisfaction lies in being the trusted advisor to the next generation of his long-standing clients.
John has also shared his knowledge through educational workshops on money management and retirement planning, conducted at institutions such as St. Charles County Community College and Webster University. He has been an active member of the Missouri/Southern Illinois chapter of the Financial Planning Association. John was born and raised in St. Louis, has three adult children and resides in Ballwin with his wife Susan. Outside of work, he enjoys boating, fishing, and spending quality time with his family.
